FIFA 21 is on a mission to make Volta Football at least a little bit enjoyable. Something FIFA 20 failed at. Can't say yet if they'd succeed, but having one of the best boxers in the world as a playable character should help in that aspect. Anthony Joshua is here to knock out some nets!
FIFA 21 Volta Groundbreakers with Anthony Joshua
EA Sports cleared some air on FIFA 21's Volta Football mode today. Various locations, customization options, and all sorts of cosmetic gear are going to be available in the "street" mode of the game.

We all knew that stuff was coming, though. What really got us excited is the announcement of the FIFA 21 Volta Groundbreakers. These are players who you need to beat in Volta Featured Battles to recruit them to your own squad. Which stars are you fighting against? Well, you'd be thankful it's not an actual fight against at least one of those.
Heavyweight world champion boxer Anthony Joshua is among the first FIFA 21 Volta Groundbreakers. He's joined by American DJ Diplo as the only non-football stars to be featured in Volta at the very start. The list is completed by six football players - three active and three retired legends.

One of the retired players is Eric Cantona who's been the face of FIFA 21 Icons in the build-up to the game's release. Another is an even more natural selection as Kaká has been the main ambassador of Volta Football since its introduction in FIFA 20. Finally, we have French maestro Thierry Henry completing the retirement home's roster.
The three current players to enter the streets, all of whom were born after Cantona retired, are FIFA 21 cover star Kylian Mbappé, Champions League winner Trent Alexander-Arnold and Atlético Madrid's young star João Félix.
