Astralis have won ESL Pro League Season 12 EU. In the final, the Danes defeated Natus Vincere 3-2 after falling behind two maps to zero to start the match.
The winners of the ESL Pro League Season 12 EU are Astralis. In the final, the guys around star player Nicolai "device" Reedtz won 3-2 against Natus Vincere and are the current ESL Pro League Champions. Astralis reached the final from the lower bracket, which brought along a 0-1 default deficit. Na'Vi won the first map of the evening but with their backs against the wall, the four-time Major champions reached the top of their game.

Astralis had knocked out surprise ESL One Clologne EU champions Heroic in the lower final the day before to deny their compatriots another run at a title. Na'Vi awaited in the final, already up 1-0 by default. A Dust2 victory got Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and co. one map away from their first trophy in 2020, but Astralis had other plans.
Two incredibly dramatic maps reminded everyone of this Danish team's unparalleled resillience and map No. 5 was just down to pure Danish class. Three straight maps in the bank and an ESL Pro League Season 12 title for the Star-men.

With the win, Astralis have earned $99,000 in prize money, 650 ESL Pro Tour points, and 2000 points on the BLAST Premier Circuit. This is the team's first major tournament win since the BLAST Pro Series: Global Final 2019. Forced roster changes took them out of trophy rotation for a few months but now that the band is slowly regrouping, Astralis are once again back to being among the main contenders it seems.
