Smite’s 7.7 update brings changes to Battlegrounds and a new battle pass featuring Aang Merlin, Zuko Susano, and Korra Skadi skins.
While Smite tends to get overshadowed by its bigger siblings in the MOBA field, the third-person perspective game is still persevering with its many loyal fans - and for the recent 7.7 update it unveiled a surprise collaboration with Nickelodeon, bringing three of the most popular heroes from Avatar: The Last Airbender and Avatar: The Legend of Korra to the game.
Unfortunately, Aang, Zukko, and Korra will be coming as skins for Merlin, Susano, and Skadi than as champions of their own - but it is still worth it to see the gang come back together, even if it has been a while since the two big Nickelodeon shows ended.
While Aang might look a bit youngish for most people’s perception of Merlin, the skill set of the character - a wizard who uses different elements in battle - is a good fit for the protagonist of The Last Airbender. The moody Zuko, a prodigal firebender and swordmaster, will give a more fiery theme to the Japanese storm god Susano. Meanwhile, Korra and her polar bear dog Naga play the part of the Norse goddess Skadi and her winter wolf Kaldr.

The new battle pass features two skins each for Aang, Zuko and Korra, but it will also include various other Avatar-themed goodies such as announcer packs, animated avatars and various other cosmetic items. The pass itself costs 750 gems, which can be purchased for around $15 USD or grinded slowly in the game. Most items will be exclusive for the battle pass, but a few like the Team Avatar Jump Stamp or Loading Screen are free.
The patch also features a significant update of the game’s main Battleground map, including changes to various items and a rework of many jungle monsters.
