With the release of its third season Apex Legends added another environment to its repertoire, World’s Edge. Let’s have a look at the best locations to landing and get loot.
Not everyone expected the brand-new playground called World’s Edge, which turned out to be at least 50% bigger than King’s Canyon. The size difference between the two maps held both pros and cons, like getting used to the lower number of jump stations and the tempo of the storm when compared to King’s Canyon.
The Sniper Ridge
No doubt one of the less popular locations as it’s not indicated on the map itself and that makes it so good. While it’s not that rich in loot, it still offers some high tier loot, usually of the sniper variety. You also have the high ground and easy access to both Drill Site and the rich in epics Skyhook.
The Dome
Dropping in the Dome is a good idea as it’s protected from most sides and you need mainly worry about squads coming from Lava City. The location offers plenty of supplies, namely 22 loot boxes. It’s usually not so populated as it’s near the edge and many players won’t take the risk of getting stuck in the storm early on. Thankfully there’s also a jump station to the north which can accelerate your escape.
Refinery
The Refinery is located far in the north-east part of the map and contains a total of 25 supply bins, more than enough to equip a whole team quickly. You’ll also be close to The Epicenter, which you can inspect while landing and if not too heavily populated make your advance to get some high tier loot. A potential drawback would be a far away ring to the south, but you’ll quickly be moving in that direction anyway.
Location with the most loot: Thermal Station
Thermal Station is one of the biggest zones on the map and it also holds first spot when it comes to gear, offering a whopping 48 loot boxes. Naturally, this means that a lot of squads will be dropping there to gear up quick or die quick.
Closing thoughts
As mentioned previously the new map is much bigger than King’s Canyon and with much more open spaces. Snipers are the preferred weapon here, especially the Charge Rifle, which easily hits targets from a couple of hundred meters away. When aiming for the bots that drop keys make sure you’re using a heavy hitting weapon in order to one-shot it and get the one you want. With rumors of Season 4 already spreading there might be less than a month before the “end” of World’s Edge.
