Q&A with GH
Q: How is the preparation been going for the last few weeks ahead of the tournament?
Well, you know, giving the situation right now it's hard to meet up and practice a lot of times, so we're just preparing ourselves morally, practicing our solo skills, and some PUB games, and just trying our best in the tournament.
Q: COVID-19 has changed your preparation plans. Are there areas you think you'll come through as stronger than others that you've been able to work on?
Not really. It's always better to fix any issues or any underlying problems face-to-face and just work through it because whenever you can't see the person or his facial expression, it's hard to estimate what they're thinking. So I'd say its much better to fix problems in person and work through the issues.
Q: How can you improve your communication when you're not sitting next to each other?
Well, as long as you're being attentive, listening, respectful, and just letting people talk, that's all you can do honestly, you just have to listen and be attentive.
Q: With BLAST Bounty Hunt coming soon, which team are you looking forward to playing against the most?
Honestly, it doesn't really matter who we're gonna play, it's more like, we're just trying to focus on ourselves and how we play, that's all that matters right now. So we're ready to play any team.
Q: Are you looking forward to the event? Are you excited? Obviously, it's the first time BLAST has ventured into Dota 2, is that something you're looking forward to getting involved with?
Yeah for sure, we're just gonna see what BLAST has to offer, the dynamic of the tournament, how is it going to go, everything that comes with it, we're really excited for the experience.
Q: Who do you think will be your main competition at the event?
You know the funny thing is in these online tournaments it's really hard to tell because every single team has the potential to come out and breakthrough. So, I'm not gonna give a single team, I'm just gonna say any team, with dynamic of a tournament, can come on top.
Q: BLAST is looking at bringing additional bounties to the event, do you think that will impact your play?
Well, first of all, I have to see what the bounties are, then I can make up my mind on the matter. But I definitely think its gonna be some kind of change to our playstyle to what we're gonna do in the game.
Q: BLAST is bringing in dynamic prize pools to the tournament, is that something you're excited for?
Well let's just say its something new, so I don't know if I should be excited for, or just, try to see how it feels because I haven't been able to make up my mind about the matter right now, but let's say yeah I'm excited to see how its gonna be.
Q: The dynamic prize pool was added to create real reward and tension during every game, do you think it will create something more entertaining?
Well, I can say its really entertaining for the fans because its something new and hasn't been done before, so its something that everyone will be looking for. As for the players, I'd say that every single one of us just plays to win, regardless of the dynamic of the change of the money that we take or that we lose, so everyone is just playing for the win, and the money just comes as a bonus.
Q: If you could be any Hero from Dota 2, who would it be and why?
That is random. Straying off the topic, ok... I'd like to be Wisp because I like the way the Hero works. I'd say he is similar to me in a way, I just identify with the Hero.
Q: What are your predictions for the tournament? How do you think you'll get on?
My predictions. Well, I think its gonna be a bit random? Because no team knows the real meta of how this tournament should be played if you should focus on winning more on the bounties or how its gonna be, or how it's gonna affect the gameplay, but I can foresee some nice things happening, all depending on the bounties and how the teams will adapt to these certain things.
