The first minutes of the new shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War were revealed. At Gamescom 2020, Activision showed the launch of the campaign in a cinematic trailer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the hottest game of the hour. Only yesterday the announcement followed, including extensive information about the single-player campaign. Today the developers are already delivering the campaign kick-off in the form of a new trailer afterward.
New Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War Trailer
Until the first actual gameplay from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, we'll probably have to wait a little longer, but the new cinematic trailer from the Gamescom Opening Night Live definitely makes you want more. As we already know, Cold War is a direct sequel to the original from 2010, featuring US President Ronald Reagan as well as well-known characters from the Black Ops series like Woods, Hudson and Mason.
The new cinematic trailer provides an insight into the first minutes of the campaign, which aims to shed light on the turmoil of the Cold War. The game mainly takes place in 1981, but there will also be flashbacks to 1968, the year in which we are traveling through the Vietnam War. However, the makers of the game still owe us some concrete details. At least we know that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is scheduled for release on November 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
Black Ops: Cold War for PS5 & Xbox Series X
For the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X follows a technically improved implementation. As VentureBeat reports, the game will run on the next-gen consoles in 4K resolution and at 120 FPS - so we can expect a technical treat.
Whoever buys the game for release will receive the next-gen upgrade for an additional €5.
