After the latest leaks and teasers, the reveal of the new Call of Duty was only a matter of time. Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War has now been officially confirmed by Activision and you can already have a look at the first teaser trailer with a full reveal coming next week.
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is the name of the successor of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. That’s no surprise with developer Infinity Ward having teased the new game in the last couple of days. But now the game has been officially confirmed with further details coming next week.
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Revealed
Call of Duty 2020 has its official name. The newest addition to the popular FPS-series goes by the name Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and will take place during Cold War (surprise!). A first teaser trailer reveals more about the game’s setting.
Provoking, as always with Activision, the trailer features the original interview of Soviet defector Juri Besmenow, talking about the secret strategies of the Soviet Union in the Cold War. Another controversy led by the Call of Duty developers in the tense situation between the USA and Russia – but nothing we were not expecting.
Exciting is the hint at the end of the new trailer. The full reveal for Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War will take place on August 26 on the game’s official website. The game is being developed by both Treyarch and Raven Software.
Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is set to release later this year. If the developers will release the game on next-gen consoles PS5 & Xbox Series X or if will the next CoD will debut on current consoles (with a next-gen update in the pipeline) is yet to be seen.
