The long wait is over. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 4 is here! The new update for MW and Call of Duty: Warzone is truly massive, but we doubt anyone’s complaining.
Modern Warfare Season 4 arrives at last
Call of Duty publisher Activision had postponed the release of Modern Warfare Season 4 indefinitely in the wake of the George Floyd protests in the United States of America. The original release date was June 3 and there was no clear indication on when exactly the new season will arrive, until yesterday:
Intel Incoming on Season Four. New #ModernWarfare and #Warzone content is live tonight, June 10th @ 11PM PDT!

Turns out the wait is not only over, but it has been worth it. Infinity Ward have added so much to the game that they needed to put in some work to deduce the size of the patch, particularly for consoles. The developers even suggested uninstalling content packs for modes that aren’t being played to make room for the patch. Turns out size does matter.
The file compressing process is still undergoing after Xbox users noticed their patches are a lot larger than anticipated. The update is supposed to take around 4 GB of space on consoles, which is quite a lot as it is, but that’s grown out of proportion on the Microsoft console.
We're actively investigating an issue for #ModernWarfare where some players on Xbox are seeing a larger than expected download size for today's update. Stay tuned for updates
