CoD and the CDL have an exclusive deal with YouTube and this is exactly why 100T CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has abandoned his Twitch Partnership. The 100 Thieves CEO wants more flexibility and now the possibility to stream with DrDisrespect could actually happen!

Nadeshot is taking one for the team, and that team is both his esports org and the CoD Esports scene. Nadeshot is self-demoting himself on Twitch from Partner to Affiliate so he can co-stream and rebroadcast CDL coverage which is exclusively locked on YouTube. The 100T CEO announced the rather surprising decision on May 17 via his Twitch stream.

Why Did Nadeshot Give up Partner?

"I might be bouncing around from Twitch and YouTube occasionally. I’m not gonna be a Partner anymore, just an Affiliate. I think it works out really well because I’ll hopefully be able to co-stream Call of Duty matches that LA Thieves have. I’m not really changing much, I’m not leaving Twitch, just being an Affiliate gives me a little bit of freedom on where I can stream and where I can’t."

Looks like Nadeshot is not completely abandoning Twitch but choosing to go down to Affiliate. He is not being forced out like DrDisrespect was, he simply wants to stream his team’s CoD matches. Nadeshot will be free from corporate contracts designed by both YouTube and Twitch to control the content creators they often forget they need. It appears Nadeshot is playing the system and making a 5Head move by being able to take advantage of both platforms.

The timing of Nadeshot’s announcement to give up his Twitch Partnership also comes at a particular moment in time. Nadeshot plans to hold a 100k Warzone tournament with the likes of DrDisrespct, Swagg, and Aydan.

Funnily enough, The Nadeshot Invitational will be streamed on Twitch and not YouTube, so it seems the 100T CEO will bounce between the two platforms as a kind of free agent. It is not known when the first co-stream of the CDL will take place, but all the pieces are there for both Nadeshot and DrDisrespect to commentate a CDL match together!

Please, let this happen, imagine how many people would watch a CDL match if Doc was commentating alongside Nadeshot!
