Players just found a glitch in Warzone 2 that allows more than four players per squad. Have you run into any six-player squads yet?
Warzone 2 is a Battle Royale game and as such the normal BR mode is mostly played in squads. If you don't want to play solo, the regularly available squad sizes are Duos, Trios and Quads. However, there seems to be some kind of glitch in the game that places players in squads of up to 6 players.
Huge Squads Dominating Warzone 2
Obviously, if you start up a regular BR match, you have to choose a playlist for matchmaking. So you either choose the Solos, Duos, Trios or Quads playlist. Several players now reported that apparently the game is matching together teams of different sizes.
In this Reddit post, the user showed a screenshot of his five-player squad:
how is this possible? 5 people in a quads match? from CODWarzone
However, other players claim to have been put in six- or even eight-player squads, putting them in a pretty advantageous position to win the match.
Popular Warzone content creator TheTacticalBrit was placed into a six-player squad and promptly won the whole match. In the final cutscene, you can clearly see all six players escaping in the chopper and the credits afterwards show a bunch of squads with more than four players – one has even eight players.
Currently, it is not clear what is causing that bug and the devs haven't reacted to it yet. Some players think it might have something to do with the Unhinged mode that was available in Warzone 2 for a limited time and allowed players to team up with each other mid-match.
Another possibility would be that Warzone and DMZ are somehow getting mixed up, since it is possible to recruit downed players to your squad in DMZ.
Hopefully, that glitch will be fixed sooner rather than later, cause right now BR matches are completely random. You never know if you will run into a five-, six- or even eight-player squad and be utterly demolished. But since the CoD community is super toxic anyways, the devs should already be aware of the issue.
Have you heard of CoD 2023?
