Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 are out now, and after the long wait, the community seems generally quite pleased. Both games have been riddled with bugs, but when you actually get into a match the experience is solid (as we said in our review). It helps that they've added so many great new features, including gyro-aiming.

If you're unfamiliar with gyro-aiming and don't know what it is or whether it's worth using, you're in the right place. We've provided an explanation of gyro-aiming below, as well as our verdict on whether you should use it, and our recommended settings for gyro-aiming. Enjoy.

What Is Gyro Aiming?

Gyro-aiming is a feature that lets you physically tilt your PlayStation controller left or right to adjust your aim in-game. So if you aim-down-sight like normal by holding the left trigger, normally you use the right stick to aim the weapon, but with gyro-aiming you can also tilt the PS controller to the left or right to aim that way. This isn't a unique feature to Call of Duty, and it does in fact exist in quite a few games, including Fortnite.

We don't expect it to be hugely popular, but it's still nice that they're including even more options in the settings. Oh, and if you still need to optimize your own settings, then before we go any further, here are the best controller and graphics settings for MW2 and Warzone 2.

Is Gyro-Aim Worth Using?

Gyro-aiming won't give you a competitive advantage, hence no one in the CDL is using it. But, gyro-aiming is a great accessibility feature for those with poor dexterity and motor skills, because it provides a simple way to make micro-adjustments when aiming. Also, it might appeal to players who don't care about min/maxing and just want to enjoy features like haptic feedback and such, because it is quite a satisfying feature.

For more casual modes like the DMZ, gyro-aiming could be a good laugh:

Here's what we found were the most comfortable gyro-aiming settings:

SettingOption
Gyro BehaviourADS Only
Gravity VectorOn
Gyro Sensitivity Horizontal15
Gyro Sensitivity Vertical15
Gyro Horizontal InversionOff
Gyro Vertical InversionOff

There you have it folks an overview of gyro-aiming. But in regard to the settings, we highly advise you to try these out and experiment yourself a bit. Gyro-aiming and how it feels is incredibly subjective, so you might prefer a more responsive option.

Will you be using gyro-aiming? Or do you prefer classic? Either way you'll want the best weapons for Warzone 2!
