We're slowly working our way through all the weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War to give you the best setups for each weapon. Today we're looking at arguably the most accurate assault rifle in the game in Season 2: the Krig 6.
You just got into Black Ops Cold War and are looking for the best weapons in the game? Don't worry, we'll test all the weapons for you and try them out until we can give you the best setup for each one of them in Season 2.
The Krig 6 was already very popular in the alpha and beta of Black Ops Cold War. It is unlocked at level 16 in Season 2 and is in a way a mixture between the AK-47 and XM4. Slightly higher rate of fire than the AK and higher damage than the XM4, all with phenomenal accuracy. With its almost non-existent recoil, even during prolonged continuous fire, it is particularly suitable for fights at longer distances, but will not let you down in close combat either.
Krig 6 Setup Season 2
Our attachment strategy is always to further emphasize a weapon's strengths. Since there are definitely better alternatives for short distances, such as the MP5, we focus on making the Krig 6 in Season 2 as strong at long-range combat as possible:
- Muzzle: Infantry Compensator
- Barrel: 19.7" Ranger
- Underbarrel: Foregrip
- Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
- Stock: Raider stock
With the muzzle and foregrip we reduce the recoil of the Krig as much as possible. The infantry compensator reduces the vertical recoil by 12%, while the foregrip reduces the horizontal recoil by 15%. The damage and range of the Krig are already very good, which is why we prefer the 19.7" Ranger as a barrel. It increases the projectile velocity by 100%, which makes for much more reliable hits, especially at longer distances.
We use the last two attachments to increase mobility. The handle shortens the time for aiming by 30% and increases our twitch resistance by 90%, which leads to precise shots even while under fire. Finally, the Raider stock increases the sprint-to-fire speed by 30% and the running speed when aiming by 40%.
All in all, we get a weapon with minimal recoil, correspondingly high precision and very good range as well as high damage. The Krig 6 is therefore not necessarily suitable for fast run-and-gun gameplay in Season 2, but is a real beast for fights at medium and long distances.
