We're slowly working our way through all the weapons in Black Ops Cold War to give you the best setups for each weapon. Today we're looking at one of the most iconic guns in Call of Duty history: the 1911.Looking for the best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War? You've already found a favorite weapon, but want to know which attachments you can use to get the most out of it? Then you've come to the right place! We go over every BOCW weapon there is and devise a loadout fit for each one of them.

We've already covered all of the primary weapons currently available, as well as the shotguns and the first pistol. Here's just a small selection of our setup guides for Black Ops Cold War:

Do you like League Play or just want a secondary weapon that isn't dog shit at anything beyond close range? Then shotguns and rocket launchers are probably not for you. A much suitable choice would be the 1911 pistol.

The 1911 is the first pistol you have access to in Black Ops Cold War. If you've ever watched Call of Duty League, you must have noticed that pretty much every Call of Duty pro uses this gun as a secondary weapon. Why? Quite simply, the 1911 is probably the most balanced and reliable pistol in the game: it has little recoil, a reasonable rate of fire and good damage. With 3-4 hits you will make any opponent bite the dust. At very short range or with a headshot even 2 shots are enough to get the kill.

BOCW 1911 Setup

Since the gunslinger wildcard only affects primary weapons, only five attachments can be used on pistols. Our setup aims to create the perfect secondary weapon for emergency situations. If you ever run out of ammunition for your primary weapon, the 1911 will help you at both short and medium-range:

  • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake .45 APC
  • Barrel: 6.45" Reinforced Heavy
  • Body: Steady Aim Laser
  • Magazine: 12-round
  • Handle: Speed Tape

With the heavy barrel, we increase the range by 30% and the bullet velocity by 80%, which lets you dish out pain even at longer distances. The muzzle brake reduces the vertical recoil by 5% without any disadvantages. The laser increases hip accuracy, which can be especially important in close combat. A larger magazine is self-explanatory and the speed tape reduces the aim down site time by 10%.

This makes the 1911 the perfectly balanced secondary. Keep in mind though that in close quarters, shotguns are going to destroy you, regardless of your pistol's setup.
