We're working our way slowly through all the weapons in Black Ops Cold War to give you the best setups for each weapon. Today it's all about a true shooter icon: the AK-47 for Season 2.
If you're looking for the best weapons in Call of Duty's latest spin-off Black Ops Cold War Season 2, you've come to the right place. We'll gradually provide you with the best setups for all weapons in the game. You can find a brief overview of the currently most used weapons in this gallery:
Today's weapon is probably known by everyone who has ever played a shooter in his life. The AK-47 is probably the most famous weapon in the world, not least thanks to games like Counter-Strike, Battlefield or Call of Duty.
In Black Ops Cold War, the AK-47 is unlocked at level 7 in Season 2 and is currently one of the most powerful weapons in the game. It behaves in Black Ops Cold War exactly as you would expect from an AK: High damage and recoil with slightly reduced fire rate. The AK can take out any opponent with 3-5 hits and has the fastest TTK of all assault rifles with three head hits with 200ms.
AK-47 Setup for Season 2
As always, we will again present the best five essays to make this setup accessible to all players, regardless of the wildcard chosen. With the following essays you will get the best out of your AK-47 in Season 2.
To make the juicy headshots possible, the recoil of the gun, in particular, must be brought under control:
- Muzzle: KGB Eliminator
- Barrel: 18,2" VDV reinforced
- Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
- Handle: GRU Elastic Wrap
- Stock: KGB Skeletal Stock
The KGB Eliminator muzzle shields your muzzle flash and reduces the vertical recoil of the weapon. To almost completely eliminate recoil, we use the Spetsnaz Grip, which reduces both horizontal and vertical recoil. For the barrel, we choose the 18.2" VDV, which increases the range by 100% and the projectile speed by 40%.
To regain the lost mobility and to be able to react quickly even at shorter distances, we use the Spetsnaz Grip and Stock. The GRU handle allows you to aim faster and increases your resistance to twitching. The Skeletal Stock increases your ADS speed and reduces the sprint to fire time.
We do not use a sight here because we believe the rear sight and front sight are completely sufficient for the AK-47 in Season 2. The larger magazine is not necessary for this setup, since 30 shots with such high damage are also more than enough. Aim well and land the headshots, then in theory one magazine is sufficient for up to 10 kills.
