In our regular setup guides, we introduce you to the best attachments for each weapon in Black Ops Cold War. Today, we're taking care of the good old pump shotgun: the Hauer 77.

Looking for the best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War? You've already found a favorite weapon, but you want to know which attachments you can use to get the best out of it? Then you've come to the right place! We show you the best weapons in Black Ops Cold War in our setup guides.

We've already covered the primary weapons in full, and we've also taken a look at the Gallo SA12. Here you can find a selection of our previous setup guides:

Today, we turn our attention to another shotgun. The Hauer 77 is exactly what you would imagine a good old pump shotgun to be – lots of oomph, but not particularly fast. At level 7, the Hauer 77 is unlocked very early, and thus offers an excellent secondary weapon right from the start.

Grumpy parks and rec

Unlike the faster Gallo SA12, the Hauer can kill at very close range with just one hit, which is also its main strength. So when choosing a shotgun, the question is always: Do I want to be able to kill with one shot, or would I rather be able to fire several shots in quick succession? If you prefer the former, the Hauer 77 is the right choice for you...

Hauer 77 Setup

Since the gunslinger wildcard only affects primary weapons, only five attachments can be used on shotguns and pistols. With this setup, you can get the best out of the weapon:

Since we prefer the shotgun as a secondary weapon for close house fights, we'll focus on hip fire, and slightly increased rate of fire with our attachments.

  • Muzzle: Duckbill Choke
  • Barrel: 21.6” Reinforced Heavy
  • Body: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight
  • Magazine: 6 Rnd Tube
  • Stock: Shotgun Stock

To hit better from the hip we increase the spread by 50% with the duckbill choke and increase the accuracy from the hip by 35% with the laser. The heavy barrel increases the range by 12% and the rate of fire by 6%, which allows us to follow up a bit faster if the first shot wasn't enough.

Its not enough

To be able to react quickly in close quarters combat, we shorten the time it takes to switch from sprinting to shooting with the shotgun stock by 10%. Since we use the Hauer mainly from the hip, we take a slightly larger magazine as the last attachment. However, if you like to aim down sight, you can replace the magazine with the serpent wrap, which reduces the ADS time.

With this setup, you're perfectly equipped in close combat. Just don't forget that for a one-shot kill, you have to be very close to your opponent, and repeating takes much longer than with the Gallo SA12, which you can just fire straight through.
