In our regular setup guides, we introduce you to the best attachments for each weapon in Black Ops Cold War. This time, we're taking a look at the all-rounder among sniper rifles: the LW3 Tundra.
Looking for the best weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War? You've already found a favorite weapon, but want to know which attachments you can use to get the most out of it? Then you've come to the right place! We show you the best weapons in Black Ops Cold War in our setup guides.
The Best of All Worlds... Almost
Currently, there are just three sniper rifles in Black Ops Cold War, and we have already looked at the most popular one, the Pelington 703. The Pelington's main appeal is its speed, which makes it an ideal quick-scope sniper. Today, we'll take a look at the best alternative – the LW3 Tundra. It can both quick-scope and calmly blow away enemies one by one at long range.
Just like the Pelington, the LW3 Tundra is a bolt action rifle, so after each shot, it needs a short repetition. It has extremely high damage and excellent range, but in terms of speed, it is just outclassed by the Pelington.
Close is the important thing here – it is still very fast, but not quite as fast as the Pelington. Overall, it can be said that the LW3 is a bit quieter and easier to control, making it a perfect sniping all-rounder.
LW3 Tundra Setup
In order to make our setup accessible to all players, regardless of the wildcard they choose, we will again limit ourselves to the most important five attachments for the weapon. Those who use Gunslingers can occupy the remaining three slots according to personal preference.
Of course, you can build everything completely on speed with the attachments and create a quick-scope monster, but the Pelington is better suited for that. In our guide, we build a balanced all-around setup that can be relied upon in any situation.
- Muzzle: Stabilizer .308
- Barrel: 28.2” Tigerteam
- Underbarrel: Front Grip
- Handle: Tempo-Tape
- Stock: Scavenger Pad
The Tigerteam barrel makes up the bulk of the setup. It increases damage by an incredible 20%, and on top of that, it increases the rate of fire by 21% and projectile acceleration by 50%. All we have to sacrifice for this is some ammo.
With the muzzle, we increase the weapon movement control by 14%, and with the front grip, we reduce the vertical and horizontal recoil by 30% each. The last two attachments we use to increase the tempo a bit. The speed tap increases the ZV speed by 5% and the looter pad shortens the change from sprinting shooting by 30% and increases the running speed when aiming by 40%.
We sacrifice some accuracy when firing from the hip but you shouldn't do that with a Sniper anyway.
With this setup, you have a very easy-to-control rifle, that is suitable for quick-scoping as well as camping. So, if you can't decide whether you'd rather get in the middle of the action with your sniper rifle or stay at a distance, you should definitely check out the LW3 Tundra.
