This weekend the Stage 1 Major, the first Major of the Call of Duty League 2021, took place. How did Atlanta FaZe beat the reigning champions, how do the standings look after Stage 1 and when do we go on? You can find all the answers here!
At the end of Super Week, the first of a total of 5 Majors of the Call of Duty League 2021 was held. We summarize all the important info for you. Here we go!
Who Won the Stage 1 Major?
Atlanta FaZe won the final of the first major against Dallas Empire with 5-2.
Of the 8 teams that participated, the usual suspects stood out: all-time favorite Atlanta FaZe, CDL 2020 champion Dallas Empire, fan-favorite OpTic Chicago, and somewhat surprisingly, the New York Subliners.
Why surprising? Because no one expected the Subliners to knock OpTic Chicago out of the tournament with 3-0.

The final between Atlanta FaZe and Dallas Empire was surprisingly one-sided. FaZe took the first three maps before Empire won their first one.
After two more Search & Destroy matches, which went 6-1 and 6-2, it was over. Atlanta's Chris "Simp" Lehr won the title "Player of the Stage" and as you can see here, not undeservedly:
