After an explosive evening of destroying trains in Call of Duty: Vanguard's reveal event, we awoke bleary eyed to the news that some campaign gameplay was on its way. And in only a matter of days too!
Call of Duty: Vanguard is enjoying its moment in the sun, and fewer and fewer Twitter bots are repeating the "DeAd gAme, evEryOne WilL be pLaYing BaTtleField" joke this week. The trailer looks astonishing, and news that the game will run on the same engine as MW 2019 has only redoubled our excitement. So what's next in the runup to this release?
Another reveal event is coming later this week, it'll show some campaign gameplay, and it looks fantastic...but you judge that for yourself - we've got the leaked screenshot beneath!
The Next Call of Duty: Vanguard Reveal
Thanks to a trusted leaker we now know that the next Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal will include actual gameplay of a D-Day landings mission later this week. The industry insider shared this information a few days ago:
After watching the full mission - You actually fall into a lake behind enemy lines. Your fall is broken by the water and deploying your reserved parachute a couple of settings before hitting the water.

But then he went one further and even gave us a screenshot of the mission. It shows a paratrooper behind enemy lines, who landed and got his hands on an MP40:
A #Vanguard campaign mission will be shown next week... Which will likely be the D-Day mission myself and a few others have been talking about. The image below is from that mission :) pic.twitter.com/iOWWTjcjpP

The campaign will be a real sell with this installment of the franchise, so let's hope it's every bit as exciting as that trailer was. And an especially exciting fact that the trailer revealed was the location of the game, or should I say locations, because in this WWII game, we're going to all four corners of the globe. The pacific looked especially exciting, which is what we needed, given that Warzone's new map will be set in the Pacific.

When Will Call of Duty: Vanguard Be Released?
Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released on November 5th. It is currently available to pre-order, and don't worry, an open beta is coming, so you can try it before you buy.
There's also an alpha playtest that begins later this month on August 27, but you'll need to be on PlayStation to be invited.
