Call of Duty: Vanguard is on the horizon, and now we even have a release date. The latest title from Sledgehammer is set to be this year's entry in the classic shooter franchise, and after the Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal event in Warzone, we now have something even more special. This is the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date, as well as the Vanguard Season 1 start date...

Ladies and gentlemen, humans and kittens, pizzas and tunas, come one, come all. Call of Duty: Vanguard is on the way, and it takes us back to... World War 2. Yep, that's right... World War 2. Yay. Excited. Really excited. Okay, okay, okay, we'll try to be more positive: that reveal trailer was actually pretty dope! It probably won't be a waste of time, it could be quite good actually, but we also have to be real: Battlefield 2042 is on its way, and it's going to offer some seriously stiff competition! Well, if you're excited for this, we have the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date, as well as the Vanguard Season 1 date right here.

This is but one of many things that have been revealed about Call of Duty: Vanguard, but a game is more than just a release date. Here's the latest on CoD: Vanguard...

When is the Call of Duty: Vanguard Release Date?

The Call of Duty: Vanguard release date is set for November 5, 2021. The Call of Duty: Vanguard Reveal Event not only introduced us to the world of Vanguard, but gave us a look at when we can expect the game to come out. It also confirmed an open-beta for those of you who want to preorder the game. Prolific Call of Duty leaker, Tom Henderson, was correct about the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date, so we want to give him a shoutout for that. Top work, mate!

Look, Vanguard might not be the sharpest tool in the shed. It's another first-person-shooter World War 2 game from the developers of... another World War 2 first-person-shooter that was, undoubtedly, aggressively average. That's okay, we don't mind, probably because that reveal trailer was just so damn good! Shooting a train in Warzone was... okay... but that reveal trailer? We were frothin' all over it! What's even more exciting, though, is that the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date has now been confirmed for November 5. What more could we ask for?

That Call of Duty: Vanguard reveal trailer we keep mentioning? You know, the one that revealed the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date? Yeah, you can check it out here:

When is the Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 1 Start Date?

Call of Duty: Vanguard will begin its first season on November 23, significantly earlier than last year's BOCW Season 1. This was not confirmed in the reveal trailer or event, but comes from the wise-words of Tom Henderson's Twitter. Let's be real: Tom Henderson has been pretty pin-point accurate recently, so this is pretty likely to be accurate. The only thing that we would note is that Season start dates often change, as the smallest problem can delay them for a day or two. Thus, it is likely that Call of Duty: Vanguard's Season 1 launch could be set for a November 23 release, but will be delayed due to issues with its production, or even Warzone's integration. We'll just have to wait and see!

Perhaps we will get some better seasonal content this time around? Maybe. Possibly. Let's be real: we now know that there are 20 multiplayer maps coming at launch, 16 of which are 6v6. That's pretty great news for those of us who still feel a tad burnt by Black Ops Cold War. This is a tremendously high number of maps for a new Call of Duty title to launch with in 2021. Black Ops Cold War launched with eight standard 6v6 maps. That's half of Vanguard's lineup. Half! So yeah, since we will also be getting additional maps each subsequent season, we are pretty pleased with this news! Let's just say that, as much as we have made fun of Vanguard for its unoriginal setting, this game is actually shaping up to be pretty darn great. Oh, and the Call of Duty: Vanguard release date? We're pleased about that too!
