The FFAR was a much-feared close range monster in Call of Duty Warzone. Now, the gun finally got the nerf many have been waiting for. The Warzone hotfix adjusted the weapon's balance, and we've got the details.

Call of Duty Warzone is no stranger to complaints. For the longest time, one of the many complaints has been that the FFAR 1 is too strong – it's too dominant at close range. Well, that's all a thing of the past now. The FAAR 1 got nerfed, and we're so here for it.

How Did the FFAR 1 Get Nerfed?

Simple:

  • ADS speed has been decreased

According to the official patch notes, Raven Software was unhappy that the FFAR performed better than SMGs at ranges where it shouldn't have outperformed them – more specifically at close range. The devs want the FFAR to be a mid-range dominator that falls "prey to weapons that excel in short-range engagements." They further state that with this simple ADS speed decrease, they "are bringing the FFAR a bit more in line with what you might expect from an AR–damage and range at the cost of handling."
