Call of Duty: Vanguard was slated when it was first announced, but now luckily, it's starting to have some positive leaks. Not just positive - ecstatic in some cases. A leaker who got to see one of the campaign missions for Vanguard just shared their experience on Twitter, and it sounds like it was graphically mind-blowing.
Poor old Call of Duty: Vanguard was having a tough time persuading the fans of its merit. A lot of people were quick to lump it together with BOCW or assumed unthinkingly that a WWII couldn't be innovative. If you've detected a bias it's because I'm an apologist for Vanguard already, and my love of Call of Duty: 2 and Call of Duty: WaW will always keep me excited for WWII games. You can imagine my excitement when we heard how incredible this game looks then.
The Leaked Report On Call of Duty: Vanguard
Of course, it was none other than the leaker of the season Mr. Tom Henderson who saw the Vanguard mission and shared his experience. In a Twitter post he commented:
Even for a mission set on the night before the D-Day landings, it looks very crisp. No "grey wash" that we typically see in Call of Duty.It looks like they've used the PS5 to its full potential. A lot of playing with shadows and lighting - fire, gunshots, and that sort of thing

And he followed this up with a highly complementary summary of his thoughts:
I've just watched a campaign mission of #Vanguard on the PS5 - And it's probably one of the best-looking games on current-gen consoles. It's a bold statement to make, but it looks beautiful.

If a guy that sees as many leaked games as Henderson does just called the game "one of the best-looking games on current-gen consoles" then rumors were right, it does have all the IW8 engine upgrades that Modern Warfare 2019 had. And for obvious reasons, that's fantastic news. But not just because of how graphically stunning it is, it should also mean that we have the new movement options back that were revoked for BOCW.

When Can You See Call of Duty: Vanguard For Yourself?
Later today (August 19 at the time of writing) the game will be officially revealed in Warzone with the 'Battle of Verdansk', but for hands-on experience, you'll need to wait for the alpha or beta playtests. Luckily the dates for those have been leaked. but the alpha is a PlayStation exclusive we're afraid.
