The introduction of bunkers in Call of Duty Warzone has been one of the more mysterious and exciting developments in Activision’s Verdansk. Well, it was kind of mysterious. It wasn’t so surprising to find loot inside, but the mysteries created and the hints given made us keep coming back whenever something new was discovered.
Activision may have taken a hell of a time to reveal the bunkers in Warzone, but whilst frustrating at the time, when things finally began to leak out from the Devs, we were not disappointed. Eagerly, we set out on a quest to find and unlock the bunkers, journeying to all corners of the map.
Across the rolling hills we ventured, picking through corpse’s belongings as we went, inching ever closer to our beloved bunkers. Onwards we went, closer and closer, until the first bunker came into sight, with its big barred door and a green light shining above its cavernous entrance.
The thing was, even though Activision may have made them accessible (hence the green light above the door), we had been a little bit stupid. We didn’t know how to open the bloody things! So, thinking we could perhaps open a different one, we ventured further and came across another bunker carved in the hillside of a park. A code? What code? Well, we didn’t know!

So! What Is a Red Access Card and Where Are They?
Stop being so pushy, I am getting to it! The first question kind of answers itself, a Red Access Card is a card that lets you access specific bunkers in Warzone. They also happen to be red, hence the name... The second question actually deserves a little merit though, to be a little fair. They are, truthfully, pretty hard to find!
Red Access Cards are found whilst looting in Warzone, in random loot crates. Receiving one is quite rare, so pay a lot of attention to where the loot drops are happening near you, and search your little ass off! If you make a kill, then search the body as well because Red Access Cards are dropped like most items when you die.
These are really the only two ways to get your hands on one, and it all comes down to luck. In Call of Duty Warzone, these items are hugely valuable as they give you unique access to a specific bunker, and thus access to some super high-power gear. If you find one, you should note which bunker the access card is for, and follow our guide to get straight there.
For God’s Sake, Get to it Already! Where Do I Bloody Go?
Calm down, buddy, don’t get your panties in a knot! I’m getting there (jeez)… You can open bunkers 00, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08 and 09 with Red Access Cards (the rest require specific pin-codes). You need to look at the card, identify which one to go to, and follow the instructions below to make your way there.
So, we are now going to let you know where each of these bunkers are, so can you please just have a little patience? We are here to help, after all! Take a quick squiz at this map whilst you wait, the numbers listed above are the Red Access Card bunkers, and the rest are either keycode bunkers, or something a bit different:
Here you go, I know it took us a while to get here, but it has been fun, hasn’t it?! Here is a more detailed look at where the bunkers are:
- Bunker 00 – Southwestern bank, at the very far southern edge of the map. It is south of Zozni Spomenik and the Hills.
- Bunker 04 – South-east of the Gora Dam, in a rock face along the road, looking out across a valley (very pretty!).
- Bunker 05 – At a crash site hidden in the middle-north. It is southeast of Bunker 04.
- Bunker 06 – Find it over the tunnel that sits on the far-east of the map. In between Lumber Yard and River Quarry.
- Bunker 07 – Accessible through a trapdoor that is northeast of the stadium (think similar to Bunker 03).
- Bunker 08 – Next to bunker 07.
- Bunker 09 – At the far bottom of the map, next to the Prison (on the northeast side of the prison).
Well, this has been good, folks. Just a few parting tips before I leave you to your shooty-shooty-adventuring! Stay off the roads, and move fast when you get a key card as they are very valuable. Don't overcommit, and maybe have a mate with you to provide covering fire if you get into trouble. And remember: no one will mourn for you if you take a bullet to the face, we will just steal the key card and take the loot for ourselves. With those words still ringing in your head, we bit you farewell...
