Craig Fairbrass, the original voice actor of Ghost, is coming back to reprise his role in Modern Warfare 2 (2022). But what does that make this game? A remaster? A remake?
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been winning all the headlines recently. And no, we're not talking about the masterpiece from 2009, we're talking about the reboot coming in the fall of 2022. So the sequel to Modern Warfare 2019. If you haven't played Modern Warfare 2019, it's not a remake of the 2007 game, it's a wholly new game but in that boots-on-the-ground style we fell in love with way back when. But the recent news that Chris Fairbrass, the original voice actor of Ghost, is going to appear in Modern Warfare 2 has certainly raised our eyebrows. So what can we expect from next year's MW2?
Chris Fairbrass Coming Back
Chris Fairbrass is coming back to reprise his role according to a fairly well-known leaker, who has been proven correct in the past. Here's exactly what he had to say:

The crucial phrase there was "reprise his role". It would have been fairly mundane if the news was simply: Chris Fairbrass will appear in MW2, but the fact that Ghost is returning? The same character we believed to be shot and killed way back in 2009? This makes the whole affair very strange indeed. Either way we're hyped.
This is likely to be the one of the most well received Call of Duty titles of all time. It really can do no wrong, and we hear that the dev team have the game in a fantastic place:
Will MW2 be a Remake or Remaster?
Despite the return of Ghost we're 99% sure that this will be a sequel to MW 2019, and not a remake of MW2 from 2009. The ending to Modern Warfare 2019 hinted very strongly at a sequel, and it was incredibly well received. So the most likely explanation for this news is that we will play flashbacks in the role of Price, or perhaps Soap, and that we will get to see Ghost again that way. Don't be disappointed though, the best Call of Duty mission of all time was of course a flashback.
Until this much anticipated game is released, why not dip into Warzone Pacific to scratch the itch?
