Recent leaks suggest environmental destruction is coming to the new Call of Duty: Vanguard game, and therefore, to the new Pacific Warzone map. This is a feature the fans have been requesting for a long time, and it looks like it's finally happening. But how much can we actually destroy? Details below.
One of the most exciting things about Call of Duty: Vanguard, and by extension, the next era of Warzone, is the reintroduction of IW8. The engine used to build Modern Warfare (2019), with its crisp graphics and impressive movement mechanics. Unfortunately, BOCW was built using an older version of the engine - hence it looks so retrograde compared to Modern Warfare.
But luckily, that's not the case with Call of Duty: Vanguard; it should make use of all the new features introduced in Modern Warfare. And as we've just heard, it will bring along its own upgrades - including environmental destruction. One of the biggest things on a lot of players' wishlists.
How Much Destruction Is In Vanguard & The New Warzone Map?
Doors and walls will be destructible in Vanguard and the new Warzone map. The environmental destruction will be closer to Rainbow Six Siege than Battlefield. Doors becoming destructible makes a lot of sense, as the way they currently work is not popular. But walls being destroyed could clearly have a greater impact on play, though we'll have to wait to find out just how easily we can destroy them.
This information comes from leaker @Victor___Z, who posted the following message in response to the new Warzone Pacific map being leaked:

Fans were quick to respond and began asking whether this was going to be like Battlefield, but @Victor___Z suggested the destruction was going to be closer to what you can experience in Rainbow Six Siege. So we won't be destroying the whole building, but rather making holes in walls or ceilings.
No doubt this will come as welcome news to many Call of Duty fans, Siege's more controlled destruction is probably a better fit for CoD anyhow.
