Raven implemented the biggest weapon balance update in Warzone's history with Season 4: Reloaded, and for many days, the meta was in flux. But now, after substantial community testing, a few weapons have risen to the top. So for our hardcore, meta-chasing readers - here are the current optimal class setups for the two most common loadouts: long-range AR / Ghost, and Sniper & Sniper Support / Overkill.
With so many weapons being nerfed recently, it was hard to predict where the meta would land, but with the TTK coming down across the board, it seems that what was once strong is still comparatively strong. There are a few exceptions, though. The XM4 took a dip, as did the BOCW MP5, but generally, the top tier remained unchanged, it just collectively took a hit in power.
Long-Range AR Ghost Class
Obviously, we were going to cover the single most popular loadout type: the generalist AR plus Ghost, for mid-game onward. In this department, the FARA remains dominant, it took a slight recoil increase, but it's still very easy to use, and has one of the most competitive TTKs over range. Here's the attachment setup you should be using when speccing a FARA for range:
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 18.7" Spetznaz RPK Barrel
- Optic: Axial Arms 3x
- Underbarrel: Spetznaz Speedgrip
- Ammunition: 45 Rnd
Perks & Equipment:
- Perk 1: E.O.D.
- Perk 2: Ghost
- Perk 3: Tracker
- Lethal: Semtex
- Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor
If you're even reading this article and chasing the meta so hard, then I don't need to explain these choices. In every slot, these are basically the default picks for the mid/late game Ghost loadout.

Sniper & Sniper Support Overkill Class
The Swiss K31 had been buffed many times to compete with the Kar, but without a better reticle, that always seemed hopeless. Well, no longer; Raven has replaced the terrible reticle from before with a far cleaner crosshair. And so the Swiss K31 is now the sniper of choice, and alongside it, the BOCW AK has replaced the XM4 as the go-to sniper support weapon. Here are the attachments you should run on the Kar:
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Barrel: 24.9" Combat Recon
- Laser: SWAT 5mw Laser Sight
- Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip
- Rear Grip: Airborne Elastic Wrap
And here is the AK's attachment setup:
- Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
- Optic: A reflex of your choice
- Underbarrel: Spetznaz Grip
- Ammunition: 45 Rnd
- Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap
Perks & Equipment:
- Perk 1: E.O.D.
- Perk 2: Overkill
- Perk 3: Amped
- Lethal: Claymores
- Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor
A very standard array of perks and equipment here again. The only change is that we've taken out Tracker for Amped so that we can switch between our primaries more quickly, and we've gone for Claymores, in case we want to hold a building with that sniper.
These are currently the meta setups for both long-range AR-, and Sniper builds. Hopefully, you've already got the necessary levels to start kitting out, if not good luck, and good hunting.
