Warzone Season 4 has landed with a bang - loads of new content and one of the biggest weapon balance patches we've ever had. And snuck in besides all the other gameplay updates and bug fixes? The implementation of 120hz support for Playstation 5. We've got all the details on how you can start playing 120fps Warzone on your PS5 right here.

And just like that, Season 3 was over; it was out with McClane and Rambo and in with dirt bikes and nail guns. But what a cracking era Warzone Season 4 is shaping up to be - Raven continue to improve weapon balance. They've brought two exciting new weapons in, and they've done a complete overhaul of ground loot. But something else they've implemented that might have been missed is 120fps support for PS5, which is obviously huge for those lucky owners. Here's a quick guide to ensure you're taking advantage of the update on PS5.

How Do You Play Warzone On 120FPS On PS5?

Download and install update 1.38 of Warzone, then, provided you are using an HDMI 2.1 cable to connect your PS5 to a monitor even capable of 120hz, the game should automatically run in 120fps. Here are a few things to remember in case it doesn't seem to be working:

  • Make sure your cable really is HDMI 2.1
  • Check if your monitor is even capable of 120hz
  • Turn your display settings to the 'gaming' profile, settings like 'cinema' can prevent higher frame rates

We found the update to work without a hitch, and hopefully, you do too. The game looks incredible at this frame–rate, and it's just another positive step towards consoles gradually closing the gap. Unfortunately, there's still no word on a FOV slider available for the next-gen consoles yet, but we'll keep you posted.
