SMGs have always had a role in Warzone as secondaries alongside snipers and long-range assault rifles. And while there are plenty of good BOCW weapons in Warzone, some of the old Modern Warfare weapons are still viable too. Today, we're going to take a look at the good ol' P90. Here's the best P90 setup and loadout for Warzone. Submachine guns are admittedly not the most versatile weapons in Warzone. Here and there one pops up that is completely OP – we all remember the introduction of the MAC-10 or the initial AUG – but normally SMGs in Warzone are going to be used as secondaries. But that doesn't mean you don't use them, or that you don't still need a solid setup.

Look, the P90 isn't the Milano 821, which has become something of a fan-favorite among the community. But there are enough benefits to the P90 – the 50 round built-in mag for one – that you shouldn't sleep on this weapon. It's got some surprising oomph over range too, so let's dig into how you set it up.

Warzone P90 Setup

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: FSS 10.6" Pro
  • Laser: Tac Laser
  • Optic: G.I. Mini Reflex
  • Unterbarrel: Stippled Grip Tape

With this P90 setup, we're treading the tight rope between capability over distance and snappiness. The suppressor and barrel increase range, while the stippled grip tape will help control and reduce recoil. While the laser is going to give us a little more mobility and allows us to aim-down-sight more quickly. The optic is a matter of taste, but if you're looking for the snappiest of the bunch - look no further. We love the G.I. Mini reflex, and it makes fighting at short & medium distances much easier. We don't recommend running the irons – very unsightly, and they block out an unacceptably large part of your peripheries. Yuck.

With the attachments mentioned above, the P90 is a very effective weapon at short to medium distances and is therefore perfect as a second weapon for snipers, LMGs, or assault rifles.

Like keeping up to speed with all things Call of Duty? Then you've come to the right place, here are some of our recent articles:

Secondary, Perks, And Equipment In A P90 Loadout

  • Secondary: Krig-6 (Spec'd for range)
  • Perk 1: Cold-Blooded
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Combat Recon
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor

We'll be following up on this in the coming hours and days, but it looks like the perk meta might be shifting. So we're taking a risk and shifting with it. Where you would normally take E.O.D. in the first slot, we've opted for Cold-Blooded to counter the new perk – Combat Recon. We'll be taking Combat Recon ourselves to get ahead of the game before too many players make the switch as well.

With the P90 restricting our range, we're opting for a long-range Krig-6 to effectively run as the main. You'll want a typical range build in this respect: Agency Suppressor, 3x Optic, Field Agent Grip, 60 Rnd Stanag, and Ranger barrel. To round us out, we're going for the generalist's option with Semtex and a Heartbeat Sensor.

Give the P90 a chance, there are some cracking skins for the weapon, and it can still hold its own in a CQC fight.
