Players have discovered a new infinite gas–mask glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone. No doubt the devs are working overtime on a patch, but until then, expect to see lots of players hiding in the gas. We've got all the details and more right here.
Another season another glitch. It's almost become a tradition in Call of Duty: Warzone to see new glitches replace the old, and the latest 'trick' players have found will let you survive indefinitely in the gas thanks to an infinite gas–mask. Yes, that's right, you can avoid combat entirely and win Warzone right now.

How Do You Do The Infinite Gas–Mask Glitch?
You need to get yourself a gas–mask, and then be downed during the animation for either taking it off or putting it - this works on both console and PC at the time of writing (May 14). The infinite gas–mask glitch is one of the less complicated glitches to accomplish in Warzone, certainly, but do watch out that another team does not spot you downing each other or you'll make very easy targets. It's slightly easier to do this during the animation of putting on the gas–mask, but we have some exact methods for you below.
Dying During Animation – Method 1:
Throw a Molotov cocktail on the ground and stand in the flames as you put the gas–mask on. We found this to be probably the easiest method for accomplishing the infinite gas–mask glitch because Molotovs do constant but relatively slow damage–over–time, so you can time the animation.
Dying During Animation – Method 2:
Throw yourself off a tall building in the direction of the gas to down yourself (NOTE: This will kill you outright unless you have a teammate still in the game or a self–revive) then crawl towards the gas and start putting the mask on once you're fully inside it. But, during the animation, kill yourself with the 'Hold [whichever key this is for your platform] to give up'.
Once You're Dead
After you've done either of these methods you will go to the gulag. You can win your match and go straight back into Warzone, or you can be bought back by a teammate. Either way, the next gas mask you get will be an infinite gas–mask, it will never break and so you can run around in the gas indefinitely.
Can I Be Banned For Using The Gas–Mask Glitch?
You will not be banned for a first–time offence using glitches, but you may get certain privileges revoked, and you could lose all leaderboard placements associated with your account. Activision actually provided the exact rules that they intend to enforce in Warzone, published recently here.
Any user who abuses an exploit in game code or other established rule of play is subject to penalty. An example includes, but is not limited to, using a hole in the map geo to intentionally go outside of the map boundary.First offense: User may be temporarily suspended from playing the game online, have their stats, emblems, and weapon customizations reset, have online split-screen privileges revoked, and have their leaderboard entries deleted.Extreme or repeat offenses: User may be permanently suspended from playing the game online, have their stats, emblems, and weapon customizations reset, and be blocked permanently from appearing in leaderboards.
There you have it, folks, you can try it without too much risk but it will likely be patched out very soon either way.
