CoD Warzone may be featuring a new killstreak, as players continue to notice sneaky new item drops after the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on November 13. The most recent is a Bomb Drone discovered in a private game!

So, let us set the tone! You’re playing a Plunder match with some friends and open a Red Key Card bunker to get your hands on some of that sweet, sweet loot. Among the loot, you discover something, an item that looks kind of similar to a recon drone, but with a bit of a twist...

For Reddit user hefy123, that twist turned out to be C4 (check out the video below) when they stumbled upon it in Warzone earlier this week. The item in question is a Bomb Drone, a secret new killstreak discovered in CoD Warzone, and attributable to the weapon drops that the devs have been delivering recently.

So I found this new "Bomb Drone" in a red key card bunker during a private match today. from CODWarzone

Discovered in a legendary crate, the Bomb Drone can be activated from the killstreaks list and flown around just like a Recon Drone. The HUD signals ‘C4 Armed’ and, when activated, produces a rather impressive explosion.

If this new addition becomes more widespread, then we will be very pleased! We all enjoy strapping explosives to things and blowing up other players in all sorts of creative ways!! C4 on a drone has been done for ages, and this is just a new, more dedicated way of doing it! A new Bomb Drone killstreak opens doors for many new and exciting ways to wage war against the enemy team.

Seeing as this new CoD killstreak has only been discovered by a handful of players in specifically private matches, and with the conspicuous absence of any patch notes or official announcements, could this have been accidentally added to the game ahead of an upcoming patch?

With more changes coming to Warzone’s loadouts now that Cold War is out, we have already seen a similar addition come to Warzone back on November 10 when players found a Black Ops RC-XD. This begs the question: is this the latest addition to Warzone’s collection of killstreaks? We’ll be paying very close attention to any future patch notes to let you know!

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s integration with Warzone will kick-in on December 10. The first thing to happen will be for Cold War’s content to come across into Warzone, including various play elements featured in the latest CoD title. Read more on Cold War’s integration with Warzone here:

It’s always exciting to get a new way to play, being it a weapon, an item, a vehicle, or just some cool new fashion options. This is especially exciting, though! Who doesn’t want to fly around as an explosive drone? We can’t wait to hear and see more on this latest killstreak from the developers! In the meantime, we will just have to keep balancing C4 on our Recon Drones.
