The Warzone Nuke Event could be coming later than we expected, with rumors suggesting that Verdansk will not meet its destructive fate until Season 3 releases in April. The new release date is not entirely disappointing, though, with many options still available for March 11's big event.

Warzone Nuke Event Date: New Leaks

Recent leaks suggest that the Warzone Nuke Event may happen on April 22, the rumored release date for Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. We think this makes a lot of sense, but it poses an important question: what will happen in the meantime?

We've been waiting so bloody long for this event, now, that we barely have any patience left! Warzone's Nuke Event could hit us any day now, realistically, but with recent revelations from Raven Software, it has become gleamingly clear that something big is due to happen, no matter what... and there are quite a few options.

We've covered Warzone's anniversary pretty damn extensively already, so we won't get into the nitty-gritty, but there are quite a few possibilities that could stem from a longer wait for the Nuke Event. For starters, we need context, guys! There needs to be a freaking reason for the nuke to go off, doesn't there?

All you need to do is look at the tweets both above and below, and it will become glaringly obvious that something is afoot! If there is no Nuke Event, though, what could change? What could be getting hinted at? Will Verdansk ever be the same again?

Now, yes, this tweet mentioned a nuke event, so maybe the nuke could be set to explode very soon indeed. There are things that need to happen first, though. It all needs to make sense story-wise. The Zombies need to be explained, as do the reasons for the explosion. So, what are the options?

  • Zombies could spread across Verdansk, making it necessary for the Nuke to be detonated.
  • Something to do with Nova 6? This has been pretty quiet for quite some time.
  • What's up with Ural Mountains? Could we get a new map?

There's a s**tload of options, and we like all of them! No matter what, we are excited to find out the future of Warzone in the next couple of hours, days, and weeks. Happy birthday, good ol' Warzone, you've served us well, and may you continue to do just that.
