Warzone Season 5 just started but we missed one thing in the patch notes: weapon tuning. Now only a few days after the first patch notes dropped they were updated with weapon balancing changes. Let's take a look at the Warzone Season 5 weapon balancing.
Wow, those patch notes are spicy! Everyone loves the MP5, one of the most OP SMGs in Call of Duty. Both the Modern Warfare and the Black Ops Cold War MP5 were really strong weapons in Warzone but this could change now – for the MW MP5 at least...
All in all the newest patch adjusts seven weapons: the AS VAL, Fennec, MW MP5, OTs 9, AMP63, M19 and Sykov. The patch also includes some bug fixes. So without further ado let's take a look at the Warzone Season 5 weapon balancing.

The AS VAL had one of the fastest TTKs in Warzone and even though the smaller magazine should keep it balanced, the developers wanted to tweak the TTK a bit. For the Fennec the problem always was its range and the small magazine. With the higher bullet velocity at least the range can now be increased. But what about the MP5? One of the biggest perks of the MP5 was how forgiving the weapon was. The newest changes aim to make the MP5 a bit less forgiving. The OTs 9 is still pretty new to the game so it isn't surprising that the devs still need to figure one or two things out here. The reduced weapon sway should definetly help with that. The three handguns were all pretty strong sidearm options and the newest changes aim at placing them at a power level that is more in line with other handguns.
