The most recent Warzone patch notes were released last night; Raven have buffed Tactical Rifle Charlie while nerfing the AMAX. It looks like the Tactical Rifle Charlie, or AUG, is set to become the new mid–long range meta weapon - so here's the optimized attachment setup.
In Raven's last Warzone patch notes, they described how the Tactical Rifle Charlie needed a buff, explaining that:
While we still maintain that Tactical Rifles ride a very thin line between underwhelming and oppressive, we feel that the Tactical Rifle Charlie could be closer to that line.
They clearly don't want another DMR–14 situation on their hands, but at the same time, they've expressed their desire for BOCW weapons to challenge more of the older MW weapons at those mid to long ranges. The Tactical Rifle Charlie has therefore had its recoil reduced to buff the weapon's performance over distance. But the Tactical Rifle Charlie was also more subtly buffed in these Warzone patch notes, because Raven have improved the 3x and 4x optics available for BOCW weapons. Those are the optics that we'll want on a long-range Tactical Rifle Charlie setup. So, without further ado, let's get started.

What Is The Best Attachment Setup For The Tactical Rifle Charlie?
For the Tactical Rifle Charlie, or AUG, take the 3x Axial Arms scope, Infantry Compensator, 19.6' Match Grade Barrel, STANAG 54rnd Mag, and Field Agent Foregrip. To remind you where those go:
- Muzzle: Infantry Compensator.
- Optic: 3x Axial Arms Scope
- Magazine: STANAG 45rnd Mag
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
- Barrel: 19.6' Match Grade Barrel
Note: If you don't have BOCW and have a longer time levelling the Tactical Rifel Charlie, we've got good news for you - BOCW Free Access Week Coming May 27: All Free-to-Play Details!
The Match Grade Barrel doubles one burst range once you've got the target cracked, and the compensator is just a great complement to that range boost. The Axial Arms scope just got buffed, and it looks like it's going to become the BOCW equivalent of the beloved VLK 3x from Modern Warfare – the perfect scope at ranges this build is optimized for.
The magazine? Well, it's Warzone. In case you're just getting into the game, here's a tip: you should almost always put the biggest magazine available on your Warzone weapons. To round us out the Field Agent Foregrip is going to work wonders in reducing our horizontal recoil.

What Is The Best Loadout For Tactical Rifle Charlie?
For the best loadout with a Tactical Rifle Charlie, you should take the Strela–P, Semtex, a Heartbeat Sensor, and these perks: Cold–Blooded, Ghost, and Tracker. Many of you might be wondering why we abandon Overkill with this loadout, well the Tactical Rifle Charlie has one of the best handling characteristics of the Tactical Rifles, and it can hold its own against competitively in CQC.
It isn't ideal but with the amount of LC10's that drop is common loot this season (which absolutely slaps). You can grab one of those if you want something for the close encounters of Downtown or Hospital. Of all the secondary weapons, the Strela–P is going to provide with you the most, but as we say, drop it for an LC10 if you see one.
Are you going to start using the Tactical Rifle Charlie? Even if you don't, we think a lot of your rival players will be. Let us know if you have any success with this build on Facebook or Twitter, and don't forget to join MyEarlyGame today for all the best Call of Duty news.
