Another Thursday, another Warzone playlist update and this week, Buy Back is returning, but for the first time, the classic Battle Royale mode is gone from the available playlists. Here's a quick guide on Buy Back in case you've forgotten the mode.
For anyone who prefers more aggressive plays, this is probably the best week they're going to get. The regular Battle Royale mode has been removed, so the limited-time Buy Back mode is going to be full of players. And Buy Back, for the uninitiated, encourages far more aggressive play than the traditional BR. Anyway, let's get into what this mode entails.
What Is Buy Back In Warzone?
In Buy Back you start the game with $4,500, and for the first 20 minutes of the game, as long as you're carrying at least $4,500, then you will automatically respawn and drop in again from the air. There is no Gulag but raising $4,500 isn't that taxing, so people come back more regularly and easily than in the normal mode. With death, therefore, carrying less weight (at least for the first 20 minutes of the game) people are more aggressive and thirsty for kills. One tip that we'd like to advise our readers, and to annoy the other teammates screaming at you over the mic: drop on a buy-station the moment the game starts to get a loadout. In Duos, you'll need to raise $1,000 first, but as soon as that's done, get a loadout. This is an obvious tip, but people do forget and start randomly doing scavs instead. Where Has Battle Royale Gone?
For the first time in Warzone's history, Raven Software has removed the classic Battle Royale mode from the available playlists. Though it will surely return by the playlist update next week.
This move has been poorly received by the community, many of whom favor the classic mode:
Removing regular BR is a major L. Clowns.

So don't be surprised if the classic Battle Royale is actually back before next Thursday, the regular update day. That being said, with this weekend being the Vanguard alpha, we're sure they're very busy with other concerns right now...
