Call of Duty: Vanguard Operators: Who is Wade?
Wade is rumored to be based on Capt. Vernon L. Micheel, also known as Mike, or the Hero of Midway. Micheel was an instrumental American fighter-Pilot during the Battle of Midway, where he participated in a daring and dangerous assault against the Japanese invasion fleet. The assault was overwhelmingly successful, particularly due to his personal involvement, and for his service, Micheel received the Navy Cross – an incredibly prestigious award in the American Military.
During the battle, Micheel destroyed an entire Japanese carrier and critically damaged another, which sank the next day. He fought in a number of different battles in World War 2, including but not limited to the Battle of Midway, Truk, and Guam. Pretty amazing, right? Other rumors also speculate that Wade could alternatively be based on C. Wade McClusky.
Voice Actor: Simon Quarterman.
Here's the Vanguard Teaser trailer for Wade, who's based on the real-life Capt. Vernon L. Micheel - KNown as the hero of Midway. Capt. Micheel's bombs struck two Japanese carriers: the Akagi, which sank that day, and the Hiryu, which was heavily damaged and sank 1 day later. pic.twitter.com/iwEHnEMtns

Call of Duty: Vanguard Operators: Who is Lucas?
Lucas seems to be based on New Zealand's greatest war hero, Charles Upham. Upham was awarded the Victoria Cross twice in World War 2, and spent time as a Prisoner of War. He is more-or-less a folk legend down-under, and this is due to a number of heroic acts, including one incident where he charged through enemy machine gun fire to toss a grenade into a truck full of Germans. After being captured by the Germans and imprisoned in Colditz Castle as a Prisoner of War, Charles Upham joined an American unit to continue fighting.
Voice Actor: Martin Copping.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Operators: Who is Polina?
Polina is supposedly based on Russian Sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko, nicknamed "Lady Death". This Russian Sniper was so successful that she had 309 confirmed kills during World War 2, making her the most successful female sniper ever. Extraordinary, right? Fighting for the Russians as part of the Red Army, she served during the Siege of Odessa and the Siege of Sevastopol, until she was evacuated to Moscow following a mortar injury. After recovering from her injury, Pavlichenko became a propagandist for the Red Army. A truly interesting character!
Voice Actor: Laura Bailey
Call of Duty: Vanguard Operators: Who is Arthur?
Arthur may be based on Sergeant Sidney Cornell, an American Parachutist who landed behind German lines in Normandy during the 1944 campaign. After parachuting behind German lines on the night of June 5/6 1944, Cornell was in continuous action, and was wounded four times during various altercations. What is extraordinary is that his continued service, and incredible success as a solder meant that he never failed to deliver messages correctly, despite the fact that in many encounters he came across a huge amount of mortar and machine gun fire. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal in 1945.
Voice Actor: Chiké Okonkwo.
