The stage is set for CDL 2020 Week 4. This time around, two teams will co-host the Call of Duty tournament in Los Angeles. Both Los Angeles Guerrillas and OpTic Gaming Los Angeles will look to prove their worth in front of their home crowd in Shrine Expo Hall.
CDL 2020 Week 4 format and schedule
The overall Call of Duty League format is quite simple. Two double-elimination GSL groups have been put in place. A total of 8 teams are split into two groups of 4.
All of the matches played in the group stage will be in the best-of-five format. Then, the best two teams from each group will advance through to the playoffs or the so-called “bracket stage”.
Group stage winners will advance through to the semifinals as high seedswhile second-placed teams in the groups will also grab a spot in the bracket stage semifinals, but only as low seeds.
As for the bracket stage format, a single-elimination bracket has been put in place. This basically means that there are no second chances for anyone. If you lose one match, you are eliminated from the CDL 2020 Week 4.
Once again, teams will compete in the best-of-five format.

CDL 2020 Week 4 groups, favorites and matchups
As mentioned above, the 8 teams are split into two groups of 4.
Group A:
- Minnesota RØKKR
- Seattle Surge
- Los Angeles Guerrillas
- OpTic Gaming LA
Group B:
- Atlanta FaZe
- Florida Mutineers
- Dallas Empire
- New York Subliners
If we are to listen to bookmakers, Atlanta FaZe and Dallas Empire are the biggest favorites to go all the way and win CDL 2020 Week 4.
It will be interesting to see who will come out on top in the Los Angeles derby where OpTic will look to win their first series in the CDL. However, Guerrillas are not looking as bad as OpTic, so we do not really understand why bookmakers see this match as a coinflip.
All in all, we are in for a great tournament and we hope that viewership numbers will reflect that. Will Atlanta FaZe continue to dominate everyone and will Dallas Empire bounce back from their poor start? Find out on March 7.
