Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 5 is upon us. The official release is due for tomorrow and thanks to a trailer released by Activision, we have a better guess at what exactly we're going to get.
We know that the Shadow Company is going to play a huge role in Season 5 with two new operators and two new weapons. The faction will consist of Lerch, Velikan and the previously released Roze, who also plays a role in the latest trailer.

What's New for Modern Warfare/Warzone Season 5?
The trailer shows us a lot of innovations we have been waiting for a long time. Warzone contains most of the exciting announcements, but Modern Warfare fans aren't left empty handed too.
Warzone
The Verdansk stadium has been cause for speculation for the longest time. When will it open? Will it ever? Is an explosion going to be responsible for the opening? Now we know that it is the Shadow Company - or rather Roze - who will open the stadium. In the trailer we see Roze blowing away the glass dome of the stadium so that Lerch can fly in with a helicopter. The stadium can offer more ground for looting and combat, but most of all - its opening will put a dent in campers' comfort zone.

The new movement option that was teased by NICKMERCS is also confirmed. In the trailer we see a train driving through Verdansk and some operators fighting on it. We'll be able to move fast over the map even without vehicles from now on. I just hope this train is more reliable than the one I'm taking to work.
Other small innovations, which can be quite game-changing, are the new ziplines. The trailer shows an operator using a zipline to quickly climb up the outer wall of a building. The ziplines seem to work the same way as those in the elevator shafts, but they are attached to the outside of the building. This could be another good step to fight campers.
Of course, we can't finish a Call of Duty trailer without some speculation. If you look very closely, you can see that there are five people in the helicopter that flies over the stadium at the beginning.
5 Man Squads coming to Warzone? from CODWarzone
Could that be a clue to five-man squads? There are solos, duos, trios, quads and even a 200-player mode already in Warzone. That Infinity Ward may increase the number of players and let us fight in a five-man squad in the future is not unthinkable.
Modern Warfare
Four new maps were announced for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer:
- Suldal Harbor: a 6v6 multiplayer map that seems to offer intense house battles.
- Petrov Oil Rig: also a new 6v6 multiplayer map, which plays on an oil rig with many cargo containers and reminds us directly of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign.
- Verdansk Intl. Airport: a new ground war map that offers enough space for vehicles.
- Livestock: a small firefight map in rural farm flair that offers intense 3v3 combat.
We'll have to wait and see if all four maps will come into play right at the beginning or will be added gradually during the season, but replenishment of maps was urgently needed.
Tomorrow the big update comes in official terms, but some were blessed enough to get it a couple of days earlier.
