CR4ZY have sold their entire Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster to c0ntact Gaming, the organization has confirmed. Rumors have been circling that the CR4ZY roster was out on the market for some time now. That's why the deal comes off as a natural conclusion rather than any sort of surprise.
What are c0ntact Gaming receiving
The roster that the American organization is acquiring is:
- Nestor "LETN1" Tanić
- Luka "emi" Vuković
- Otto "ottoNd" Sihvo
- Georgi "SHiPZ" Grigorov
- Rokas "EspiranTo" Milasauskas
The three-man core of LETN1, ottoNd and EspiranTo was at the heart of CR4ZY's rise to international recognition back when the organization was still called Valiance. Together with Nemanja "huNter" Kovač and Nemanja "nexa" Isaković they gradually made their way into the world's top 20 through consistent performances, even if they failed to win any tournaments.
That lineup's peak came at the StarLadder Major in Berlin where they were one victory away from the playoffs. Already rebranded as CR4ZY, this rise in prominence proved to be the squad’s undoing as G2 came in swooping for huNter and nexa.
How did the new CR4ZY lineup do?
Surprisingly, this did not affect CR4ZY's performances. Their new signing SHiPZ and emi, who stepped into a player role from his previous position as coach, fit in perfectly with the already established core and helped the team win CR4ZY's only trophy at DreamHack Open Rotterdam just a couple of weeks after the roster changes occurred. More success followed with three top 3 finishes at the DreamHack stops in Atlanta, Jönköping, and Sevilla.
C0ntact Gaming will begin its course sitting at No. 20 in the world rankings. Having failed to qualify for neither DreamHack Open Leipzig, nor Anaheim, the roster will have the time necessary to settle in with their new employers.
