Alongside Europe, ESL Pro League Season 12 is kicking off in North America too. The tournament in America isn’t so big as its European counterpart and will feature only 8 teams. In addition, we’re talking about a much smaller prize pool here, as $225,000 exactly half of what EU teams will be vying for. ESL Pro League Season 12 NA: Basic Info
- Dates: September 1-26, 2020

Format & Schedule
All eight teams will be placed in a single round-robin group. The group stage will last for 3 weeks pitting all teams against each other. All matches are Bo3 and the four best-placed teams will advance to the Playoffs. The first and second teams will start in the Upper Bracket while the third and fourth start in the Lower Bracket.
The Playoffs begin on September 24 and will last for four days. All matches will be Bo3 except for Grand Finals which will play in a Bo5 format. The Upper Bracket winner will have 1 map lead in the Grand Finals.
EPL Season 12 NA: The Teams
A total of eight teams will take part, three of which are partner teams with ESL. Another three teams earned their spot via ESL World Ranking while only one team got here via the NA Qualifier. The eighth team qualified through the ESEA Premier S33. All teams are placed in a single group.

It may come as a surprise to some, but there are a few teams that aren’t from the USA and Canada in the NA event. Brazilian team FURIA and Australian squad 100Thieves have opted to join NA due to the weak competition and low prize pools in their regions.

There is no denying that this event will attract a lot of fans from all over the world. Even though this is an online tournament, every match will be streamed on official ESL CS:GO Twitch and YouTube Channels.
