More and more North American CS:GO stars are giving up on their careers in that esport for a try at another. The latest example of a well-respected player from the region that is going for a new career in Valorant is Ethan Arnold. Once winning big CS:GO trophies with Evil Geniuses, he is now gonna try to do the same in Valorant with 100 Thieves.
Ethan was having a pretty good gig in CS:GO. At 20-years-old, he was playing for one of the best NA teams, for what that is worth, with an unusually stable lineup at an established organization. That's not good enough these days it seems and the former HLTV top 20 CS:GO player is now teammates with another former CS:GO star - Nicholas "nitr0" Canella, in 100 Thieves' Valorant squad.

Ethan Switches CS:GO for Valorant, Evil Geniuses for 100 Thieves
A whole day would not be enough to go over all of the North American CS:GO players that are now playing Valorant professionally. Long story short: North American CS:GO is dead. Ethan is just another nail in the coffin.
The thing is, we can't even say anything negative about the move. Evil Geniuses were admittedly on a downward spiral in CS:GO after regions merged back together while 100 Thieves are swinging upwards in Valorant. That 100 Thieves squad is basically a NA CS:GO All-Star team with Spencer "Hiko" Martin and Joshua "steel" Nissan playing next to nitr0 and now Ethan. That fact makes it all the more sad.
We wish nothing but the best to Ethan but it's the CS:GO scene in his homeland that needs literal prayers.
