Writing this article is giving me unwanted reminders that we're getting old. And it's the first sentence! Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev was the rising star of CS:GO just three years back and he's already inspiring the next generation of superstars. And we're not talking of literal kids here, but top 20 players in the world, such as Brazilian Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato.

S1mple has gone a long way from being a spoiled toxic brat to a role model for aspiring CS:GO players. The Ukrainian always had the talent but it's his dedication and hard work that got him to the top of the game. He should be proud of the example he's setting for other young players and got some high-tier validation for it just today.

KSCERATO Breaks Into Top 20 List, as S1mple Predicted

FURIA's rising star KSCERATO made his first HLTV Top 20 list and was quick to thank s1mple for his prophesying skills... and for his CS:GO skills of course. But mostly the former. See, at the end of each top 20 inductee's interview, HLTV ask for the player's "bold prediction", aka who's going to break into the top 20 next year.

S1mple, as the second-best player for 2019, predicted that it would be KSCERATO to make his debut top 20 in 2020 and was proven right. FURIA's man was selected as the 18th best player of 2020 by the esteemed CS:GO site. The Brazilian obviously pays attention because he immediately extended his gratitude to s1mple for inspiring and believing in him.

It's great to see two young men thriving thanks to their hard work. Despite being in very different positions on opposite ends of t he world, s1mple and KSCERATO both can serve as inspiration to any aspiring CS:GO kid.

Now it's the Brazilian's prediction skills that are put on the test. He's given himself a huge leeway by naming three potential top 20-material players for 2021: compatriot Bruno "b4rtiN" Câmara, American Paytyn "junior" Johnson and 15-year-old Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov. We'll find out in approximately 12 months whether KSCERATO would be able to continue the chain.
