It has come down to the final two in the Dota 2 Battle Pass arcana vote. The last remaining heroes in the vote are Faceless Void and Spectre.
The annual tradition continues as the arcana vote has almost come to an end. The winner of the arcana would usually be revealed at The International finals, but since we didn’t have those this year it wasn’t possible. That doesn’t stop the game from stating it though.
We already covered the final four and it was a tough choice but our prediction about Faceless Void was correct! It’s sad to see Witch Doctor and Sniper go, but the community has spoken. We can only dream about that Capri Sun & Gun skin.

Who’ll win the arcana?
Well, to be perfectly honest, at this point, both heroes are guaranteed to get an arcana. Looking at past votes, every hero that managed to reach the finals got an arcana.
- 2014 - Juggernaut vs. Phantom Assassin (winner)
- 2015 - Queen of Pain vs. Zeus (winner)
- 2016 - Io vs. Juggernaut (winner)
- 2017 - Rubick vs. Pudge (winner)
- 2018 - Faceless Void vs. Rubick (winner)
- 2019 - Windranger vs. Ogre Magi (winner)
Jugg got one, Io got one, Rubick got one, QoP got one in the 2020 Battle Pass and Windranger is about to receive one in the next few weeks. It’s actually weird that Wind is getting an arcana before Faceless Void, since he placed second a year earlier. Huh. Perhaps Valve did the numbers and figured that Faceless Void will be victorious in 2020?
In the semi-finals, 14.9 million people voted for Void and 16.09 million voted for Spectre. Sniper and Witch Doctor got 7.6 million and 12.7 million respectively. At first glance Spectre might have the lead but what if all the people who voted for Witch Doctor now switched to Void? That’d be a guaranteed victory. Anyway, there’s no certain winner until one is declared in 6 days, so anything can happen!
Who’ll Be the Better Choice
We don’t want to be biased here and it’s totally not Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure references talking, but Faceless Void has the potential for a more interesting take. Spectre’s whole kit consists of two passives, a single target dagger, and an ultimate that makes copies of herself. Faceless Void, on the other hand, has only a single passive and it’s already quite interesting visually. We wonder if Valve can make it even better! His three actives are also quite flashy but the most impressive one by far is his ultimate - Chronosphere. A huge area of effect spell that is often a game-changer.
At the end of the day, it’s up to the community to decide and cast their votes. As we’ve already mentioned it doesn’t really matter who wins as there’s a high chance both heroes will get an arcana. The winner will just get it sooner.
