This year’s Dota 2 Battle Pass features three new arcana skins. The One True King was available from the start and now it’s Queen of Pain’s turn.
The number of arcana skins in Dota 2 keeps increasing and this year helped quite a bit. With not one but three included in the Battle Pass. Unfortunately for many, Valve have decided to make all three exclusive, meaning that if you don’t reach the milestone reward in the Battle Pass you’ll never be able to obtain them. The One True King arcana for Wraith King came out with the 2020 Battle Pass, Queen of Pain debuts now and the only one remaining is for Windranger, which will be revealed at a later stage.

The Eminence of Ristul
To celebrate the release of the latest arcana, Valve also launched a teaser for it.
Content for so long exploring the playground of the mortal realm, Akasha returns now to the dangerous Court of Ristul, where her star has fallen in her time away. But the Queen above intends to claim as well the throne below. Striking a bargain with an exiled demon prince, Akasha has seized a new measure of power, and her fiendish plans are at last set to begin.
The Eminence of Ristul features an all-new model, items, animations, pedestal and sound effects. Much like most of the other arcanas it has two styles. In order to unlock the second one, you’ll need to “Torment 1000 enemies with Sonic Wave”. The two variations are polar opposites.
The new arcana also includes plenty of modified voice lines and brand-new ones, 500+ to be exact. That’s quite the number and we can only guess what interactions have been added between Akasha and numerous other heroes.
Valve also released a short comic which gives some details on how Akasha acquired her new form. You can check it out on the official Dota 2 website.
In order to get the newly released arcana, players will have to reach level 445, which might be costly for a huge part of the player base. In any case sales of the Battle Pass will skyrocket as a result of the arcana and the prize pool for The International 2020 is doing great. It already surpassed the $14 million mark.
