Valve are finally about to release True Sight, this year’s behind the scenes documentary of Team Liquid and OG where the latter managed to steal the title of champions for the second time in a row.
What is True Sight?
True Sight began back in 2016 and it was initially planned as a type of reality/documentary about the lives of players in different teams and their everyday schedules. Eventually, the series grew out of this format and started covering some of the major Dota 2 tournaments like the Kiev Major. In the last few years, True Sight is equivalent to being solely a documentary about the most prestigious event of all – The International. The first edition of the show came in 2017 with Team Liquid vs Newbee, then followed in 2018 with PSG.LGD and OG and now almost half a year after TI9 we get to see the journey of OG and Team Liquid.
All about the players
At this point, we all know the outcome of the clash between OG and Liquid, but True Sight is about more than that. In case you ever wanted to see what it feels like playing at the highest possible stakes of Dota 2, this is the documentary for you. By the looks of it the video will have a strong emphasis on the two team captains – Johan “N0tail” Sundstein for OG and Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi for Team Liquid. We still get to see other individual players and coaches reactions and how they deal with stress and the unexpected.The full video will premier tomorrow at 07:00 PM CET and will also feature a Q&A with the players beforehand. In case you don’t have the time it’ll all be uploaded on the official Youtube and Twitch channels. Steam will also be a platform you can directly download or watch them on but that’ll happen at a later date. The only possible downside of it all could be the rather long duration of True Sight videos as the 2018 edition managed to hit the 60-minute mark. On the plus side, if you want to get to know your favourite players better, True Sight is the perfect chance to do so.
