The BTS DOTA Summit 13 has officially started today. Teams in SEA have already played their first series, and the Americas will join them later today.
Just last week, Beyond The Summit announced DOTA Summit 13. The next edition in the series is officially supported by Valve and will feature three regions – NA/SA, Europe/CIS, and SEA. The Americas and SEA have already kicked off, but the fate of the EU/CIS remains unknown.
DOTA Summit Online 13: Americas
Dota 2 in North America suffered a hard blow in the past month as another team disbanded after CR4ZY announced they’re releasing all their rosters. The only team that’s actually signed by an organization is Evil Geniuses, and they haven’t even played in the region for months. DOTA Summit 13 offers 10 teams a chance to compete for the total prize pool of $100,000.

- Quincy Crew
- 4 Zoomers
- beastcoast
- Thunder Predator
- catJAMMERS
- Infamous
- Team Brasil
- Team Zero
- Plasma
- Spirits Esports
Not a whole lot has changed in the region in terms of participants. We see a couple of new teams that made it through qualifiers and catJAMMERS. The latter received a direct invitation as the team consists of ex-CR4ZY players (basically everyone except skiter). The definite favorites to take the trophy in the Americas are once again Quincy Crew. The team has won the last 8 events they’ve attended and we could easily call them the Team Secret of NA.
DOTA Summit Online 13: SEA
As we’ve already mentioned above, the SEA region is already seeing some action. Much like in the Americas, it features 10 teams and $100,000 in prize money.

- TNC Predator
- Among Us
- BOOM Esports
- Motivate.Trust Gaming
- Neon Esports
- 496 Gaming
- TEAM STAR
- Cignal Ultra
- Army Geniuses
- Adroit Esports
Some of the biggest teams from the region are present while others like Fnatic are clearly missing. Perhaps the most interesting addition here is Among Us. The team includes some of the best SEA players like – Abed “Abed” Yusop and Carlo "Kuku" Palad. The stack was created for the BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia where they managed to take third place. Back then Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon and Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong were also part of the squad. It’s hard to say who’ll take the champion’s title in SEA but Among Us are definitely going to be a top contender.
What About Europe/CIS?
The information about DOTA Summit Online 13 is rather scarce when it comes to the Europe/CIS event. The only thing we know is that the division in the old world will begin on November 2. Open qualifiers for Europe/CIS are set to commence on October 31 and conclude on November 1. The reason for the delay in Europe/CIS? It's probably the fact that ESL One Germany is still underway – it'll end on November 1.

We can only guess that the prize pool will be the same as the other regions ($100,000). In any case, all regions will end at the same time on November 8. As usual you can catch a live stream on the official BTS Twitch channel.
