The Dota 2 Epic League is currently underway, and the group stage is about to conclude tomorrow. Which teams are about to get eliminated?
The Epic League group stage kicked off on November 12, featuring the best team from Europe and the CIS. The event’s group stage is set to conclude tomorrow, and some teams won’t make it to the playoffs. Instead, they’ll be seeded to Division 2. Which teams are in danger? Let’s take a look at the standings.
The new roster of VP is doing an outstanding job so far. The same goes for Vikin.gg, a team that was once considered an underdog now stands at the top of the food chain defeating even Team Secret.
At the bottom, we find mudgolems, Alliance, and Just Error. It’s a tricky situation as all three teams are with the exact same score. Who goes further will be determined in the final two days. Today mudgolems and Alliance will be playing their last series in the groups. Here are the matches you shouldn't miss out on:
- Natus Vincere vs. Vikin.gg - 14:00 CET
- Team Liquid vs. mudgolems - 17:00 CET
- Virtus.pro vs. Alliance - 20:00 CET
You can catch the matches live on the official Epicenter Twitch channel. Perhaps the most impactful series will be between Liquid and mudgolems. If Liquid prevail it’s the end of the line for mudgolems. In case it goes the other way Liquid will also be in danger of elimination, but they still have one more game left tomorrow versus Team Nigma.
Things get even more interesting further down the line. If Alliance, mudgolems, and Just Error win and Liquid lose twice it’ll be a four-way tiebreaker. All four teams will end up with the exact same score of 3-6 and that’d mean even more matches. Only one thing is certain – two teams of the four in question will be knocked down to Division 2.
