Beyond the Summit’s DOTA Summit 13 already kicked off over a week ago for the Americas and SEA. After the conclusion of ESL One Germany, teams from Europe can finally join in.
With ESL One Germany already behind us, Dota 2 fans from Europe and the CIS can now look forward to DOTA Summit 13. The Europe/CIS region starts a bit later than the rest as many of the teams were taking part in the ESL event.
Teams and Prize Pool
The teams for DOTA Summit 13 EU/CIS were revealed on October 29, but that only gave us the eight direct invitations.
Say HELLO to our invited teams for the EU/CIS Division of #MonsterEnergyDS13 Online! You can catch all of these teams playing in the Group Stage starting November 2nd! Two qualifying teams to come as well... stay tuned pic.twitter.com/fgbFufjq4i

With the open qualifiers coming to an end yesterday two more teams join in and we have the full list.
- Team Liquid (Playoff Invite)
- Vikin.gg (Playoff Invite)
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
- 5men
- mudgolems
- HellRaisers
- Khan
- Live to Win
- Yellow Submarine (OQ)
- Brame (OQ)
Among the invitees, we find the two teams that managed to defeat Team Secret in ESL One Germany – Team Liquid and mudgolems. They should definitely be considered favorites for the event but other teams like 5men and Vikin.gg could also be a threat. Both have the potential to defeat any other team in the tournament, but will they be consistent enough? It’s important to note that Liquid and Vikin.gg get an invitation to the playoffs, skipping the group stage entirely.
The prize pool for the EU/CIS regions is twice as low as the remaining ones standing at $50,000. That’s probably because the tournament for the region will be much shorter when compared to the other two – starting today November 2 and ending this Sunday on November 8.
Format
Despite starting a week later than the other regions, teams here will also get a group stage (November 2-5). With Liquid and Vikin.gg already in the playoffs, the remaining eight teams will be split into two groups of four. The worst team from each group will be eliminated while the rest continue into the playoffs.
Group A
- HellRaisers
- Yellow Submarine
- mudgolems
- Live to Win
Group B
- 5men
- Brame
- Khan
- Ninjas in Pyjamas
Both groups will kick off today with two series in each:
- mudgolems vs. Yellow Submarine 17:00 CET
- HellRaisers vs. Live to Win 17:00 CET
- Ninjas in Pyjamas vs. Brame 20:00 CET
- 5men vs. Khan 20:00 CET
You can catch the action on the official BTS Twitch channel where you’ll find a live stream. Who do you think will come out on top in the region? Share your opinion on our Facebook page!
