DreamLeague Season 13, also known as the Leipzig Major, is finally coming to an end with the grand battle between Team Secret and Evil Geniuses.
Game 1
The first match of the DreamLeague Season 13 grand finals was pre-determined in the drafting stage. Both teams had line-ups relying heavily on winning their lanes. EG took control from the start and increased their advantage over time, setting the final score to 26:7.
The game ended in 45 minutes with Roman “RAMZES666”Kushnarev grabbing the MVP for his excellent Doom performance.
Game 2
The draft here ended up with some cheese as Team Secret picked up Meepo to go mid against Abed “Abed” Yusop, who also mains the hero. Michał "Nisha" Jankowski was a few steps ahead on his Meepo and managed to dodge enemies trying to interfere with his strategy. After spending 15 minutes in the jungle, Nisha took complete control of the game and Team Secret were in the lead with more than 40k gold by the end of the game.
Interestingly enough, this match also lasted 45 minutes.
Game 3
EG decided to put their chips on the Naga Siren and their success depended on the duration of the game. With Abed having a great start on his Storm Spirit mid, the space for Artour “rtz” Babaev’s Naga was pretty much guaranteed. The game went on for, you guessed it, 45 minutes and by the end of it, the Naga was an absolute beast that Team Secret couldn’t deal with.
Game 4
EG had taken the lead 2-1 and now needed only one more victory to seal the deal. The start of this match was quite awkward with Team Secret’s Morphling having trouble finding the proper lane to farm in. In the meantime, everyone else on the team was doing an excellent job of covering for their carry. Nisha took a confident lead in the mid lane against Abe’s Templar Assassin. Team Secret’s rotations and game sense were way better as they were rarely caught off-guard. The end came 36 minutes in with a final score of 25-7 in favor of the Europeans.
Game 5
It was time for the final game of the DreamLeague Season 13 grand finals which would decide the winner of DreamLeague Season 13. EG put Abed on a Viper mid and that proved to be their undoing. The hero either stomps a lane or becomes completely irrelevant. The latter happened and Viper didn’t get a single kill for the entire game. Team Secret managed to pull through the early game and from there on it was easy for their Phantom Lancer to take control.
With a final score of 26-11 in favor of Team Secret, the game ended in 35 minutes, the shortest one in the series. Arteezy’s curse remains active as he missed yet another chance to win a Major.
