FIFA updates are already looking towards FIFA 21 and the latest pitch notes are no exception. EA Sports are applying some changes to how Pro Clubs work, further confirming their commitment to tackling various game modes for this year's release.
Pro Clubs has always stood in the shadow of FIFA Ultimate Team in the FIFA series. That's a shame, because the innovative mode, in which up to 11 players in online multiplayer each take a position in the team, is pretty fun. We've wished for more love for FIFA 21 Pro Clubs, but fans can't really expect many new features.
FIFA 21 Pro Clubs Innovations
EA Sports have tried to implement the feedback of the fans into FIFA 21 Pro Clubs, at least that's what the latest pitch notes say. While we admire the effort, there's not really much to it as most new features concern the AI, Virtual Pro and team tactics.

This year the club managers will be able to customize the look of AI players on the team. The appearance, name and jersey of over 20 players can be changed individually across all positions and formations.
The following options can be adjusted:
- Name (first name/last name/nickname/jersey name)
- Shirt number
- Birth (date/nationality/religion)
- Strong foot
- Face
- Skin color
- Eyes
- Eyebrows
- Nose
- Mouth
- Ears
- Hair
- Facial hair
- Jersey fit
- Accessories (gloves/shoes/bracelets)
- Animations (running style/celebrations)
On the Pro Clubs tactics front, you can now preset up to five different ones. Each of them can be equipped with game plans (Ultra Defensive, Defensive, Balanced, Offensive, Ultra Offensive). This way you should be able to influence the individual playing style of your team better during the current game. The presets can then be selected in the lobby before the game.
The Pro Clubs improvements end here. Unsurprisingly, the community isn't too thrilled as way more was expected from EA Sports. While we can say "hey, it's something" and move on, that tends to be the problem. It is something. Something that can let EA off the hook cause they did "something", but when that something isn't worth much, is it really any better than nothing?
