This is my favorite headline of the month, and there is no clickbait involved here, folks. The big bald Johnson himself confirmed that Black Adam and Superman will fight in the DCEU. In fact, The Rock confirmed that the clash is absolutely inevitable. Now all we need is his prediction of a DCEU/MCU crossover to come true, and the world is good.
Black Adam & Superman Will Fight in DCEU
The reveal came while Dwayne Johnson talked to Cinema Blend. The Rock claims he is confident that Black Adam will mark a new era, in what he realizes is a struggling DCEU, and, sooner or later, Black Adam will clash with Superman:
Absolutely. That is the whole point of this. There's a new era in the DC universe that's about to begin.
Dwayne Johnson acknowledged that the DCEU made a lot of mistakes in the past, and claims that DC is now listening to fans and trying to do right by them. I know, I know, that sounds like your typical celebrity-doing-promo-bla-bla, but it's the next part that's interesting: According to him, everything we saw in the DCEU thus far was a transitory period, and Black Adam marks a new beginning. Yup, that's Rock dissing all the former DC movies to hype his own. I love it. Also... he's not wrong.
So finally, after many months turned into many years, we ended up with what we ended up at. And the whole goal and intention now is to this new era, new time. Now let's build out.
