Steps to Synapse is an Estonian band formed in the costal Summer capital Pärnu back in 2013.

Describing their musical language as funky indie pop, Steps to Synapse aims to give every listener positive vibes, warmth and the feeling of utter relaxation. The music is suitably sensual and honest, never hiding what’s going on.

Steps to Synapse has released an EP "Desires" (2015) and an LP "The One" (2017). Their latest single “More than a Woman” stayed in the most played songs list on Radio 2 station for 2 months. The band has given many concerts around Estonia, including festivals like Intsikurmu, Tallinn Music Week, Augustiunetus, Võnge and Indiefest. They have also performed in Lithuania and done a mini-tour in China, which was broadcasted live across some Chinese TV channels.

1. What is your favorite video game soundtrack?

For me, it is Team Fortress 2. For our lead guitarist and our drummer, it's most likely every entry from the Grand Theft Auto series, most importantly GTA Vice City and San Andreas (GTA radio is an inspiration on its own).

2. Who's your favorite video game music composer?

Mike Morasky

3. What’s your favorite video game?

Team Fortress 2 (or any Valve or Blizzard game)

4. Did any game ever inspire you to do music?

I was fascinated by the ending song of Portal, "Still Alive" by Jonathan Coulton. I was like 14, took a deep dive into YouTube and found a video of him playing the song and grabbed my guitar to see how he plays it. It was one of the few songs I learned besides Green Day and Tenacious D. After Left 4 Dead 2 was released, I learned "Re: Your Brains" by Jonathan also.

5. What video game are you currently playing?

Right now, I'm rotating between Skyrim on PS3 and Hearthstone on my laptop.

6. Would you ever like to write music for video games?

Heck yes! I would looove to do something like Team Fortress 2 or anything Tarantinoish really.
